Roof Installed Solar Panels
The Altenheim project consisted of a complete renovation and upgrade of a historic, 93-unit, affordable senior housing development. The project involved seismic and interior renovation of the original wood-frame buildings and dining hall, including all electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Green features include the installation of photovoltaic power panels; a hydronic heating system; pervious asphalt in the parking lots; and use of VOC-free, low-emission paints and carpeting throughout the buildings.
