Today’s Flickr Friday features Valley View Casino & Hotel, San Diego’s favorite casino featuring 2,000 slot machines, 26 exciting table games and seven delicious restaurants recently upped their ante in the gaming industry with the addition of a fabulous new boutique hotel. The new tower was built using the latest in innovative technologies and practices in the construction industry by General Contractor Swinerton Builders San Diego.

The hotel tower was constructed on a steep hillside and the entire site for the development had to be constructed to grades established above the slope of the existing hillside which required complex shoring systems that varied across the site. Due to the challenging nature of the location and their customer-centric philosophy, Swinerton Builders San Diego took the lead in developing a Building Information Model (BIM), using the services of their best-in-class, in-house Virtual Design & Construction Team.
